I provide companies and organisations with consultancy services for internal and external corporate communications or undertake interim communications positions.

With many years of specialist expertise in corporate communications, CSR strategies, crisis and issues management and marketing communications, I have successfully developed and implemented national and international PR campaigns and projects through agencies as well as directly for the companies themselves.

I started my own consultancy business, Christiane Dirkes Communications, over 10 years ago. Since that time, I have been giving companies, mainly in the energy, mobility, financial services, logistics, digital infrastructure and medical technology sectors, advice on their internal and external corporate communications and their sustainability communications. In addition, since 2016, I have acted as a freelance lecturer at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Lingen Campus, with a focus on risk and crisis communications.

As Managing Director at Cohn & Wolfe, I was responsible for strategic client consulting and developed creative, sustainable and strategically anchored communications concepts and PR programmes, both online and offline, as part of a team. One of my core competencies is building, protecting and revitalising the reputation of premium brands and products as well as international companies.

Prior to this, I was the CEO of Weber Shandwick Germany, an international PR agency, and also a member of the agency group’s Worldwide Executive Committee. I responsible for managing the agency and for operational management of the Corporate Communications, Issues Management, Consumer PR, Public Affairs, Technology and Healthcare divisions at five offices in Germany, in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and Munich.

I passed the state examination at the University of Cologne and have taken part in numerous internal and external training programmes in Europe and the USA. I have two years of training in systemic coaching and regularly attend workshops and seminars on the topics of communications and marketing, as well as issues management, crisis, transformation and change communications.
